Robocon 2016 Held in Pune

At Robocon 2016, we presented the lightest bot weighing only 14.2kgs which efficiently carried out all the task stipulated in the competition. Our passion for innovation and our appetite for latest technological advances helped us in becoming the maiden team to present the bots made of carbon fiber and nylon in Robocon India history . We were the only team with a completely 3D printed Eco bot in the competition. Our unique bot and its design grabbed many eye balls and was lauded and appreciated by one and all. .

Robocon 2016 Problem Statement

A match is contested by Red and Blue teams.It lasts 3 miutes at most.Each team consists of 2 robots: one Eco Robot and one Hybrid Robot.The aim is to make the eco bot tranverse the given course .The driving force of Eco Robot is obtained indrectly from Hybrid Bot; for example , wind force , magnetic force, etc..

Robocon 2014 Problem Statement

The theme for Robocon 2014 declared by MITAOE was "A SALUTE TO PARENTHOOD". The teams had to play various game activities in the park with their Parent robot and Child robot. The Parent robot had to carry Child robot up-to the play zone and the Child robot had to play the stipulated game activity. Each team had to play three game activities such as Seesaw, Pole walk and Swing. Once the Child Robot completed the three activities, it could take on the challenge of the fourth game activity, which was set in the middle of the park. Our team was the first to successfully accomplish all the four game activity tasks.

The National ABU Robocon 2013 was held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune. We were one amongst the very few teams who could successfully integrate encoders in a cohesive form at Robocon 2013.

Robocon 2013 Problem Statement

Duration of the game was three minutes. Each team had two robots, one ‘Manual’ and the other ‘Automatic Robot’. The Manual Robot had to go to the “Leaves Storage Area” for taking “Leaves” at the positions in the Southern Hemisphere in their own game field. The Manual Robot had to place three Leaves in the Southern Hemisphere. Then, Manual Robot had to load the “Leaves” which had been taken from the ‘Leaves Storage Area’ onto the Auto Robot. Auto Robot had to take at least 3 leaves to Northern Hemisphere (including two leaves in its own zone and at least one leaf in the common zone). Then, the Automatic Robot was allowed to touch the Bud in the Northern Hemisphere. Auto Robot had to go to the North Pole for taking the Buds (made by the team) and load the Manual Robot. Manual Robot stood below the second limit line and shoots the Bud into the moon. If the team’s Bud stands on the moon, the team won a place on the “Green Planet”.

Robocon 2012

The National ABU Robocon 2012 was held in the Boxing Arena of The Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune. SRM Team Robocon successfully completed the problem statement of 2012 and was one amongst the only five teams which were able to do so.

Robocon 2012 Problem Statement

One Manual Robot, one Automatic Robot was given for setting of robots before the game starts. Only the three registered members of each team, including the Manual Robot Operator, could engage in the setting up of robots. Any team which failed to complete the setting of the robots within one minute could resume the setting process once the game starts.
